Dylan Ward is a deaf, gay writer and librarian who lives and writes in North Carolina. His short stories, poetry, and personal essays appear in such publications as Tahoma Literary Review, Kaleidoscope Magazine, Split Rock Review, Silver Birch Press, and elsewhere.
He earned his graduate degree in library science from East Carolina University and his undergraduate degree in film studies from North Carolina State University. He was selected as a fall 2025 workshop participant with the Writer’s Guild Initiative in partnership with the American Library Association. He remains a stay-at-home dad for his active middle school son and energetic Husky and Beagle dogs. He is a reader for Story Magazine.
